EL CORTEZ
El Cortez is a hallmark of Downtown San Diego. Being constructed and completed on Thanksgiving Day 1927 it served as the tallest building in San Diego for 36 years. When it comes to history in San Diego El Cortez has its fair share enduring The Great Depression, World Wars, and even a stint at a World Evangelism School headed under Morris Cerullo. Names of note that passed through its Spanish Churrigueresque style doors include but not limited to President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Elvis Presley. El Cortez towers at 14-Stories with 117 rooms and as of now 85 residential condominiums. The majority of condominiums share high ceilings in a Spanish-style fashion, other amenities include a retro pool, fitness center, and two sun terraces. This beautiful and historic building is now available so come check out Cortez Hill today and see if you can be a part of it's history.
